Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan to carry out container transportations to Europe

“GR Logistics”, a subsidiary of the “Georgian Railways” JSC, will have out container transportations with feeder vessels from the country’s ports to Europe, Report informs, citing the JSC.

The transportation will be carried out with each other with the “ADY Container” LLC, owned by “Azerbaijan Railways” OJSC, and Kazakhstan’s “KTZ Express” organization.
The initially feeder vessel will supply 146 teu-kind containers to Romania’s port of Constanta. After remaining loaded at the port, the ship will be despatched to Germany and Hungary and later on to the other cities of Europe.

The JSC mentioned that the start of the feeder line via the Black Sea ports will add to boosting shipments on the Transcaspian global transport route. The routes of container transportation are Europe-China-Europe and Europe-Central Asia-Europe.

The feeder vessel will often have cargos amongst Poti/Batumi and Constanta ports. The ship with 210 TEU container potential will be at sea 3 situations a month. The task is supported by the European “Grampet” (Romania) corporation, a section of the Transcaucasia International Transport Route Consortium. “Rail Cargo” and “Metrans” corporations also participate in container shipments.
